This release is comprised of two atmospheric tracks, which use samples to conjure up a cinematic sci-fi world. ‘Troubled Mind’ samples Allen Ginsberg’s ‘Europe, Europe!’: ‘World, I sit in my room, imagine the future’. This track evokes a sense of mystery, with breaks that create a sense of unease or twists and turns. Perhaps if ‘Troubled Mind’ imagines the future, in ‘The Sixth Spirit’ we have arrived in the future... With samples from animated sci-fi movie ‘Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within’, this track feels more joyful- we have landed in a new dimension and are enjoying the journey.
